This Thursday, a piece of Norfolk history will be reborn inside our store on Virginia Beach Boulevard. Furniture Hall, a vital part of Haynes Furniture’s story in Virginia, will come to life as a new home for the world’s most innovative furniture designers.
In the late 1800’s, Furniture Hall occupied a building at the corner of Granby and Main Streets in downtown Norfolk. The Furniture Hall building of the 19th century eventually became the flagship Haynes Furniture store of the mid-20th century, when it was purchased by the Strelitz family and the store was moved from Church Street to Granby and Main.
For our 120th year, Furniture Hall will re-open as the east coast exposition hall for furniture designers from Virginia and around the world. Here’s just a glimpse of the names you’ll see on display.
